Alex has just recently returned home from Darwin after performing the role of Alfredo in La Traviata by Verdi in a concert performance of the opera. The performance was held at the SkyCity Ground in Darwin and the audience had just under a thousand people.

Alex Bond along with pianist Mark Sandon with special guest soprano Danielle Ruggiero perform a tribute to the legendary American tenor Mario Lanza. The three performers light up the stage with all time Lanza classics including Be My Love, Serenade from the Student Prince, O Sole Mio, I’ll Walk with God and many more. Alex Bond and soprano Danielle Ruggiero together with pianist Mark Sandon lit up the stage at Carnevale. Their performance was well accepted by the audience, ranging from teens to the elderly. Highlights from this concert were O soave fanciulla from La Boheme, Caro nome from Rigoletto and Vesti la giubba from Pagliacci. The bulk of the concert was broadcast on Italian Radio 531AM, followed by an interview with the three performers on Saturday the 7th. All in all this was a great experience for the three young South Australians and an unforgettable Carnevale.
